News: The Harding Report - February 2010 Wednesday, February 03 @ 08:45:02 EST by neal (43 reads) | The Harding Report
February 2010
Jefferson County News
Here is latest news from the real estate market.
The big story is that for the first time in YEARS the number of homes on the market has fallen below 500. This is GREAT news as the pressure on prices will reduce that much more.
The second news is that month on month units sold and volume has inreased, though average sales price fell - as the sub three hundreds is the active part of the market AND prices have fallen in the past 12 months.
Also worth noting, time to close fell by 18%, another positive indicator.
To round off the positive news, the county saw a home over $500,000 sell... more good news for the higher end of the market.

News: 2009 Flu Season Tips Monday, October 19 @ 10:11:11 EDT by admin (45 reads) | With the constant fear of H1N1 symptoms, the following measures can be practiced by one and all.
Tamiflu does not kill but prevents H1N1 from further proliferation till the virus limits itself in about 1-2 weeks (its natural cycle). H1N1, like other Influenza A viruses, only infects the upper respiratory tract and proliferates (only) there. The only portals of entry are the nostrils and mouth/ throat. In a global epidemic of this nature, it's almost impossible not coming into contact with H1N1 in spite of all precautions. Contact with H1N1 is not so much of a problem as proliferation is.
